About Alabama Association of Nonprofits

Alabama Association of Nonprofits was founded in the mid-90’s as a collaborative effort of Alabama Power Company, The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham and the United Way of Central Alabama.

The Alabama Association of Nonprofits (Alabama Association of Nonprofits) is an association of nonprofit champions and of nonprofit members. Alabama Association of Nonprofits is open to any nonprofit, primarily 501©3 and 501©4, in Alabama. Hundreds of nonprofit organizations, funders, nonprofit service providers around the state are members. Individual and Business memberships are also available. The Alabama Association of Nonprofits Corporate Office is located in Birmingham, and there are currently four other satellite offices of Alabama Association of Nonprofits in Anniston, Dothan, Montgomery, and Mobile. Our principal services of membership are information and referral, management assistance services (or nonprofit consulting), education programs and events such as our 2010 Nonprofit Summit, and discounted products and services from nonprofit vendors who serve the community. In addition we are an advocate for the nonprofit sector in the state of Alabama. We keep members informed about relevant issues and work to educate the public at large about the role and importance of the nonprofit sector.

The Alabama Association of Nonprofits is Alabama’s only centralized source of information, programs and services specifically designed to meet the needs of Alabama’s nonprofit sector.

Members can access services from anywhere in the state by telephone, e-mail, online, visits, or participation in programs held in locations throughout Alabama.
