ARPA Funding Decisions

The Federal Government allocated $382M in American Resource Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds to 16 cities in Alabama and more funds to counties as well as the state in general. In 12 of the 16 cities, $196M will be spent in ways that have not yet been decided. While some cities have made plans for all, or almost all, of their funding, there is opportunity to impact $196M worth of funding decisions that may help your organization. The 12 cities where there is opportunity to impact spending include: Athens, Auburn, Birmingham, Daphne, Fairhope, Gadsden, Madison, Montgomery, Mountain Brook, Opelika, Phenix City, and Prattville. The highest priorities for decisions made so far include Revenue Replacement/General Gov’t., Public Health, and Premium Pay.
