About Your Presenter: Dr. Chris Theriot
Dr. Chris Theriot, CFRE, is a professional in the nonprofit/fund development industry, with over 25 years of leadership in raising over $70M for nonprofits providing critical resources for their designated communities. He is the Vice President of Development for Glenwood.
Chris earned his Doctorate degree from UWA in Business Administration in August of 2025. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Alabama. He acquired his Certification of Fundraising Executives (CFRE) in 2011.
He has been on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Alabama Chapter (President, 2011), Grant Professionals Association, Alabama Chapter, Alabama Planned Giving Council, Trussville City Schools Foundation (President, 2022-2023), and the southeast cabinet for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). He has presented multiple topics at CASE, the National Organization of Research Development Professionals, and the National Council of University Research Administrators.
