Nonprofits often rely on volunteer service to keep budgets in line while fulfilling the mission. For many organizations, volunteers are your team. We will discuss where to find them, how to retain them, and how to train them. Besides learning about volunteer management, your trainer will share team building ideas and creative ways to continually thank your volunteer team. This session is for anyone who manages volunteers and would like to improve team dynamics and keep everyone working towards the mission.

In this session you will learn about the:

  • Importance of volunteers in nonprofits - as energy, as labor, as donors, as spokespersons
  • Ways to recruit, organize, and train volunteers
  • Teams of volunteers as a staffing structure
  • Team building ideas
  • Creative examples of thanking volunteers
