Leadership is hard. Let’s do it together.
Many nonprofit leaders are exhausted. They are carrying enormous weight - not just from daily demands, but from navigating broken systems, resource constraints, and policies that too often make the work harder, not easier. Leading with integrity, courage, and compassion takes more than intention - it takes skill, practice, and support.
That’s what Dare to Lead™ is all about.
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is a courage-building program that helps leaders build the resilience and clarity needed to stay grounded in their values while doing the hard stuff: initiating difficult conversations, making the best decision even when it’s unpopular, and choosing what is right over what is easy.
You'll join a group of peers equally committed to leading with more clarity, connection, and courage, all in a space designed for learning, reflection, and growth.
Dr. Julie McDonald, a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, trained by Dr. Brené Brown is partnering with the Alabama Association of Nonprofits (AAN) to offer this transformative experience for nonprofit leaders in Alabama.
Dr. McDonald has been a practicing clinical psychologist for 29+ years. At McDonald Graham, Dr. McDonald brings her experience providing psychological services into the business world, where she has been providing consultation and executive coaching for individuals and groups for 10+ years. Organizations of all sizes across the United States and internationally seek Dr. McDonald’s expertise in coaching and leadership psychology.
